The Leadership Experience

FOCUS

This program provides participants with a realistic and safe practice field on which they can learn how to lead and influence in their organizations.  They will be asked to make difficult decisions under pressure and deal with ambiguity to learn how their leadership style can impact their organizations, their colleagues, and their own career success.  The realism of Foodcorp: The Leadership Experience is a business simulation that can lead to dramatic development in a participant’s strategic leadership abilities, their communication skills and more effective relationships.

Develops the ability to recognize opportunities and avoid threatening pitfalls, balance the day-to day concerns with strategic, long-term possibilities and make better decisions.

Develops a multi-dimensional view of participants, including their leadership strengths and developmental needs within an organizational context.

The Foodcorp business simulation is an intense, interactive experience that recreates the organizational life of an important, decision-making leadership group.

The “real-life” experience generates leadership behaviors that are easily recalled by the participants and observed by trained staff that facilitate later review and discussion.
Broad program assessment tools can be combined with feedback from program peers and colleagues back home.
Foodcorp can be easily integrated into a variety of organization management and leadership development programs.
   
   

FORMAT

Day 1:  Leadership style assessment.  Preparation for Foodcorp: the Leadership Experience

Day 2:  Participation in the day-long business simulation
Introduction to coaching as a development tool

Day 3:  Group discussion of simulation outcomes, peer-to-peer feedback and insights into organizational leadership and change.
